V0.0: The Reboot

Howllo everyone!

And so here we are, a new year, and a new look! The Reboot update to the Grain to Gain game has finally arrived! "But this is a new project" I may here a few of you asking, well this is based on a 1D game I was making with C++ which used an ASCII style (so technically 2D, but 1D because it used a string to set up images and looks). I was going to go on a 2D style but wanted to be a little over ambitious with it and felt a little intimidated to be honest. But during a game jam near the end of the year (JamCraft 4), I came across an interesting concept called "sprite stacking" which created a pseudo-3D voxel style from sprites. This style is hardly used and thought it would look really cool if I could pull it off with some effort (B-) )

So I'll be working on my little fun game, and with applying the strategy of development that I used for The nth Tilecraft (game JamCraft 3 entry). Despite the strategy SHOULD be used for all my games since going at it like whatever and without a game plan usually result in crumby games (X-p)  So right now in the prototype stage, I'll be more focused on getting the basic mechanics out before making anything that resembles full game play, so this first update is to get the moving mechanics down, though I do plan to tinker more with it since the mouse clicks are a bit of a mess to use. So get ready for the next update: Title Card!

UPDATE: I FINALLY GOT EXPORTING TO LINUX WORKING!!! *SCREAMS LIKE A MANIACAL MANIAC* A good portion of you don't know how hyped, happy, ecstatic, relieved, and thankful that this headache of figuring out why port 22 just refused me like a disobedient child facing a screaming goat! But, now Linux users can enjoy the fun of my games without terrible browser hiccups! Muahahahaha! (;-P)

Thank you for your time and have a nice and safe day!
