Munchcook
A downloadable game for Windows

This is a prototype of a survival sandbox inspired by the likes of other popular sandboxes and their modding scene. It is still an early work in progress and is unstable in some areas, including the save/loading system. I would appreciate any feedback if any of the basic systems break, but I would enjoy feedback on possible content that might fit in.
I'm releasing this early because I was asked nicely to on my [Discord server: Expandyssey] :3

I tested your game, the game looks pretty good, the first image drew my attention that the game looked like Minecraft but in 2D, it's fun to play, but I don't like when the guy walks and stops and walks again, the item changing mechanics are difficult, there are no biome elements, and yes, it's not as slow as a retro game, if you want more information about the mechanics, ux and any advice, I can prepare a full report, good luck with the project
The walking-stop-walking is a bug due to chunk loading, I still need to figure out a better method in handling it so world gen is still an in progress feature. Pressing F3 brings up the debugger which shows things like biome info, block data, and item durability.
What do you mean by the item changing mechanics? Like the crafting system? Or like interacting with certain blocks? The Furnace/Workbench taking lower priority vs block placing is another bug.
What specific biome elements were we looking for? There are a couple like snow blocks in Taiga, sand in Desert, and Maple Forests. The content is small atm as in working on core systems so future updates can run smoother.
I'd like to hear about current feedback of the basic systems and where they might struggle. So please be as brutally honest about this prototypes short comings. We can only go up from here :D
Thanks for aswering back we need somewhere to cominicate more for more details and information
